The dfi, which is an independent research institute, addresses political, economic and social issues. It contributes to the academic debate through its own series, journal articles and book publications.

The dfi provides a range of services to public and private organizations, businesses and individuals working in a Franco-German context or interested in current developments in French politics, economics and society.

Our services are designed for various target groups, including teachers, students, civil society but also politics and administration.

The dfi regularly organizes conferences, lectures, study trips and training sessions. Target groups are representatives from politics, business and administration, academics, journalists, teachers, students and of course civil society and the interested public, too.
